Dog Day at Rutherford County Paws: K Schulz Pet Portraits

Dog Day at Rutherford County PAWS

If you have been following my photography page oer the past few years you probably have seen my pictures of shelter dogs and cats from Rutherford County PAWS. I love volunteering at PAWS. I get weekly snuggles from so many sweet animals. I try to capture great pictures of each shelter baby so that they get recognized online and find their furever home faster. This summer there was a dog day at Rutherford County PAWS and it was a great event to help get their animals adopted.

The entire event was sponsored by Chevorlet of Murfreesboro. So many great vendors came out to help. Licker and Whine was the booth next to me giving away losts of great treats. My4Dogs, Wag it Better and Nature Select had booths as well. These wonderful vendors donating their time and resources. PAWS got several. Also Safari Pet Resort and Petsmart donated goods for the goodie bag. It was a great turn out.

PAWS ended up having 40+ animals adopted in the 2 days of the free adoption event. It helped keep the shelter from filling up during the summer months.

You didn’t have to adopt a dog to join in on all the fun. I photographed over 80 dogs that day as well as several of their humans. Since it was so close to the 4th of July we did a partriotic theme. My red vintage couch was perfect for the occasion.

I love doing events like this I get to help raise money and awareness for the shelter. I also get to meet so many great dogs of all different breeds, ages and sizes. I love getting a chance to interact with my community in this way. I believe Dog Day at Rutherford County PAWS was a success. I look forward to more events in the future.
