Minnesota Rescues coming to the rescue for over 100 animals in Texas
I was lucky enough to be part of a wonderful opportunity to save so many precious animals from down south. Feline Rescue, Ruff Start Rescue, and Animal Humane Society worked together with Wings of Rescue to transport 120 animals from Fort Worth TX to Saint Paul MN on March 17th 2019
Sunday evening we gathered at Feline Rescue to get ready for the intake of cats from the transport. This was a the first transport of its kind for Feline Rescue and it went by pretty smoothly.
Feline rescue received 46 cats Sunday. Many went to fosters and the rest took their place in the shelter. The shelter numbers have been low lately which has been great for a Feline Rescue.
The cats that came in consisted of one very pregnant mama, 5 moms with their kittens, and the rest were adult kitties. The kittens ranged in age from 6 days to 7 weeks in age. All the cats were super sweet and friendly some were timid but were loving on everyone they cane in contact with.
I’m so glad I got to be a part of this day. I love volunteering with feline Rescue. I’m proud of the work they do to save so many Minnesota cats and this time so many Texas cats as well. They not only are helping these 46 cats but it will help the Texas shelter to help 46 more.
Here are just a few of the sweet cats I got to meet and photography yesterday.
