Marie and Will’s beautiful cathedral ceremony and fun reception at Wabasha Street Caves

Getting ready and Ceremony at Basilica of Saint Mary

I don’t think you could pick a more beautiful grand cathedral to get married in than the Basilica of Saint Mary. Marie and Will had a gorgeous ceremony there. They both got ready on sight. Their wedding ceremony was beautiful. After the ceremony we headed out onto the steps for a large group photo and then back inside for family portraits.

Portraits at Como Park Zoo and Conservatory

After the ceremony we headed to St Paul to do pictures at the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory. It was a chilly October day so having the option to do pictures indoors was great. At the Conservatory you can only do pictures with 2 people max indoors so Marie Will and I went off to take pictures in the gardens while their family and wedding party enjoyed some downtime and lunch. We meet back up with their group and did photos outside. Luckily their were some beautiful fall trees right outside the conservatory, perfect for photos. After wedding party pictures we were off to the reception at Wabasha Caves in St Paul

Wabasha caves reception

They had a very unique reception at Wabasha Street Caves. Since there was a nice gap between ceremony and reception for photos the couple was able to enjoy their happy hour and mingle with guests. Their guests also had the opportunity to take a tour of the caves before dinner and dancing. A live band was great entertainment for the evening. During the dancing we snuck away for a few pictures in the caves.

It was a beautiful day and I enjoyed meeting and photographing such a sweet, kind couple as well as their closest friends and family.
