Time to Shine: Wedding Ring Shots

Wedding Ring Shots

Wedding ring shots are my favorite detail pictures of the wedding. It’s a detail that is usually old and new. One ring had been worn for 6+ months usually. The other two rings are relatively new and have had the chance to be shown off. It is also a small detail that both the couple share. Whenever possible I make sure to have both their rings present for these photos. I like to incorporate aspects of my couples and their big day into pictures. Is your wedding blinged our and shiny? Every ring tells its own story. I want every wedding ring shot to highlight that. Your wedding rings are important to you that’s why photographing them in the best way possible is important to me. To make your wedding ring shots the best possible is important to do a few things before I get to your wedding.

  • Clean your rings. Take them to your jewelry most are happy to shine them up for no cost. If you don’t have time for that simply clean them with a little dish soap.
  • Make sure one of you has all the rings. I typically like to photograph the rings during wedding prep so having them at the same place when I arrive is key
  • Don’t forget the details. If you have all your details in one place it helps me tell your story better. Also, make sure to let me know any information about your love story so I can better showcase it in your images,
  • Have clean surfaces. This one is sometimes hard during the chaos that is a wedding day. The cleaner an area is the more options I have for photography. Plus I don’t take as much time cleaning off an area for my photos, therefore I have more time to focus on you. New Years Eve Tennessee elopement New Years Eve Tennessee elopement
