FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do you photograph deaf or blind pets?
Yes, of course! Not only do I have experience photographing deaf or blind pets, I’ve also worked with those who are both. While booking your session, we can talk through the ways I’m still able to get high quality photos of them.
Do you do studio photography?
Outside of pop-up events at local studios and businesses (follow along on Instagram or sign up for our email list to get notified about these!), our photo sessions are typically either outdoor or in home. If you’d like a studio session specifically, we can rent a studio at an extra cost.
How long do I have to download/view my photos online?
After you receive your photo gallery, you’ll have 60 days to review, pick your favorites, and download. I always recommend doing this within the first two weeks before it becomes an afterthought. But dont worry I send reminder emails!
Do you help with posing?
Yes – I definitely help with posing! We’ll start by getting you and family members posed and then give your pets prompts to interact. And if your pet doesn’t want to pose or has a different idea, we’ll roll with it!
Can you get multiple pets in one image?
Yes, most of the time we can get all your fur babies in one photo without editing. But If we can’t wrangle them, don’t worry! I have many photo sessions where we end up taking separate shots of your pets and compositing them together so all your babies are in one final image.
Can I be in the photos? Or what if I don’t want to be in photos?
I’m a photographer for people and their pets! If you’d like to be in the photos, you’re more than welcome to, but there’s no pressure to feel like you have to be. If you do choose to be in the photos, I generally do around 50% of just your pet and 50% with you unless you let me know otherwise. If your hands and shoes are photo ready, I can also simply take close ups with you and your pet to incorporate yourself while still making your fur baby the star.
The K Schulz Process
Before Your Session
Upon receiving your inquiry, we collaborate to determine the optimal time and location that perfectly suits your beloved pets. To secure your preferred time slot, a 50% deposit is made, accompanied by the signing of a contract. As the session approaches, I delve deeper into understanding your furry companion to ensure the most captivating photographs.
During Your Session
The day we meet in person, I make sure you and your pet feel safe, comfortable, and confident every moment we’re together. My focus is on capturing your pet’s unique personality – all you have to do is enjoy your time with your furry companion. Don’t worry about shy pets, leashes, any reactivity, or wigglebutts that can’t sit still. We got this!
After Your Session
Within 2-3 weeks following our time together, you will receive access to your online gallery to view your initial photos. Once you've made your selections, I will finalize each image for any leashes and background distractions. Once this is complete, you can effortlessly download your digital files or opt to purchase prints directly from your gallery.
