Minnesota dog rescue photographer
I’m a proud member of Hearts Speak an organization that works with rescues and shelters to get better photos of the animals. I’ve been volunteering my time and photography skills with local shelters and rescues for six years now, in three different states.
In Minnesota I’ve had the pleasure of working with a few great rescues. I volunteer the majority of my time with Warrior Dog Rescue. I was lucky enough to have found such a great newer rescue and I have loved watching them grow in the past 18 months I have been a volunteer. They partner with HASRA down in Alabama to help save so many dogs in need. Many times this year they have taken on pregnant mamas, which is not an easy task, but can be so very rewarding. Warrior dog rescue will get an influx of mamas and puppy litters at a time and it never ceases to amaze me how their leadership team and volunteers step up to the plate to find foster homes for every dog in need.
A look back at 2019 with Warrior Dog Rescue, I had the pleasure of photographing 141 dogs. I do one on one pictures with dogs who were timid or shut down at transport. Also those dogs who have been in rescue for awhile and need a refresher photo. I also am lucky to get to do many of the puppy litter pictures. I love doing those, they aren’t easier, but to me they are so much fun!
I love being involved in rescue and am happy that my gift of photographer can make a small impact on the lives of these sweet dogs. Below you’ll find the 141 warrior dogs that were photographed by K Schulz Photography this past year.
Try not to fall in love with these cuties too much as most of them have been adopted. If you like to see a current list of adoptable dogs from Warrior Dog Rescue click here.
