Best of 2022: Minnesota Pet Photographer

By Kelly Loeffler | January 3, 2023 | Dog friendly, LGBTQ friendly, Minnesota, Pet Photography

Every year around this time I have fun looking back on all I had the pleasure of photographing! I’m happy to share K Schulz Photography’s Best of 2022!

Like most years I got the pleasure of photographing lots of fur babies. I did full sessions and plenty of minis. From -20 degrees to 95 degrees my amazing clients showed up for all the weather minnesota has to offer. Sunrise sessions became a new favorite of mine. And we did plenty of sunset session, you know I love a good golden hour! Snowstorms and impending thunderstorms didnt stop us from getting lots of awesome pictures

You’ll notice that dog photography is a good majority of what I photographed this past year, But I also photographed a few other fur babies, including cats and pocket pets. I also made i out to the Klondike Derby this year which was a fun experience. I start doing more Commercial photography like photographing dogs with Tail Chasers brew at Dukes of 7!

This year one of my favorite projects was creating at 7×10 foot flower wall for dog mom day photos. I had the pleasure of working with Loon and Beau to do a dog mom day event at Forgotten Star brewery which was a major hit. We also had two sold out holiday mini session days this year.

I got to see so many returning fur babies and capture their families as they changed and grew. Photographing birth announcements and maternity pictures a few times this year, featuring their precious pups. I also had the pleasure of meeting so many new pups this year.

I photographed over a dozen weddings which is always a treat, especially when they involve their fur babies. I photographed 7 senior sessions which I absolutely love, So fun seeing these teens come out of their shell at their session.

My year was filled with variety, From 8 week old puppies to senior dogs pushing 15 years. From small breeds that weren’t even 10 pounds to great danes that could stand taller than myself. From Snow to flowers to rivers.

I found my love for night photography again, venturing out with friends to explore the dark skies and photograph the milky way. I hope to do more night photography and beautiful landscape photos in the coming year.

I volunteered my photography for numerous rescues that I’ll post a rescue blog of soon.

I also made sure to attend a few conferences/workshops to keep up with my photography skills and business mindset. Photography and business is ever changing and I’ll never stop learning. I consider myself a seasoned pet photographer at this point but there’s always someone out there that knows more than me and I love learning and being inspired

Thanks for coming along intros wild ride and viewing my Best of 2022. I’m looking forward to 2023 and what the future holds. What’s something you’d love to see offered in 2023?!?!
